Gregory D. LaBarre

Gregory “Greg” LaBarre, 59 of Reno, Nevada died on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Reno, Nevada. Funeral Services for Greg will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake. Fr. Peter Sharpe will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Devils Lake. Memorials may be directed to local Relay for Life Teams. Gregory David was born on June 28, 1951 in Devils Lake, ND, the son of Leo L. and Jeanette (Stewart) LaBarre. He attended schools in Cato Township, Webster and Devils Lake, graduating from Devils Lake High School in 1969. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from UND in 1973. Greg has resided in California and Nevada since 1980 until succumbing to a short illness with cancer. Greg is survived by his brothers, Lee LaBarre and his wife, Bonnie and Tom LaBarre all of Webster; sisters, Renee and her husband Hartvig Reiten of Petersberg, ND and Terryl and her husband Brad Webster of Devils Lake; nieces and nephews, Jeb LaBarre, Brooke LaBarre, Tara Reiten, Tanner Reiten and Tylla Reiten; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Jeanette LaBarre of Webster.
