Laura was born January 27, 1969 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake, ND to Raymond and Faye Jetty Jr. of St. Michael, ND. Laura attended elementary school in Devils Lake and Warwick Public School. She graduated from Warwick High School in 1988. After high school, Laura left for Canada and lived there for about 3 years. She moved back and went onto Wahpeton to attend NDSCS. She studied to become a dietician. Due to health reasons, she moved home and worked with various employers until her health condition became too severe.
As a young girl, Laura traveled around on the pow-wow circuit with her Grandpa and Grandma Cavanaugh. She danced traditional at all the pow-wows they attended. She was always happy when she was riding her horse, Booger. Laura enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews as much as she could. She liked spending her leisure time watching her favorite shows, listening to music, visiting with family and friends, family gatherings and she always tried to make it to special events.
In 1992, Laura started a new chapter which highlighted her life with her son, Zephren Lane. They played, cried, laughed, watched movies, cooked and traveled all over, just the two of them. As her health deteriorated more, they traveled a lot with Darwin. She will be missed dearly by everyone, especially her son, whom she thought the world of and loved very, very much.
