Colleen graduated from Devils Lake Central High School with the class of 1968 and was a member of the Honor Society. She was a member of the Lake Region Figure Skating Club and was an accomplished figure skater. Colleen continued her education and graduated with a Degree in Education from the University of North Dakota in 1972 and a member of the honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. Colleen taught for one year in Bottineau, ND then was employed for a short time with the FBI in Washington, DC.
In 1975, Colleen moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and was a dedicated employee for over 30 years with Land O’Lakes until the time of her death. Her writing skills, her vast memory, her administrative abilities were soon recognized by her employer and she was assigned to the Overseas Development Department of Land O’Lakes. This meant she would make presentations and accommodate overseas visitors on their arrival to the States. Later her duties as a Communications Specialist would take her overseas to Warsaw, Poland and Moscow, Russia and eventually her work was known all over the world. These trips overseas fueled her desire for personal travel to Europe several times and other areas of the country.
Colleen was an avid reader with an inquisitive mind, always seeking more knowledge. She and classmate, Irene (Glickson) Rossman arranged many high school class reunions to take place in the cities. She loved dinner and a movie with her special and many dear friends.
Colleen, loving daughter and extremely kind and caring person, will be greatly missed by her parents, her dear relatives and beloved friends and co-workers.
