CHERYLL MARIE FOX

Cheryll Marie Fox, 64 of Emporia, Virginia formerly of Devils Lake and Langdon, ND passed away at the Richmond Hospital in Richmond, Virginia on Thursday, July 21, 2011. Visitation for Cheryll will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Family Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake. Funeral Services for Cheryll will be on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Paul Young will officiate and burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery. Serving as Casket Bearers for Cheryll will be Vernon Fox, Darrell Fox, Richard Fox, Brent Putnam, John Anderson Sr. and Mike Adams. Honorary Bearers will be Jimmy Baker, Walter Lang, Harris Hegg, Veryl Greywater, Billy Cavanaugh and Bob Skaro. A special thank you to the Anderson Family for all of their help and support. Cheryll Marie was born on February 17, 1947 at Belcourt, ND the daughter of Reuben and Mary Louise (Belgarde) Fassett. At a young age she moved with her family to St. Michael where she was raised and educated. Cheryll was united in marriage to Vernon Fox on September 16, 1966. They established their home in Langdon where they lived, worked and raised their three children. Cheryll was employed at the Langdon Hospital in the Housekeeping Department as was a hard working, faithful employee for over 20 years. After she retired, they moved to Devils Lake. Vernon passed away on September 26, 1995. In 2009, Cheryll moved to Virginia to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Cheryll is survived by her children Vernon (Debra) Fox Jr. and Shari (Kenneth) Tomlinson all of Emporia, Virginia; grandchildren Travis Powell, James Arens, Kayla Arens, Stephen Garcia and Terry Fox; great grandchildren Adrian Arens and Hayden Jay Arens; sisters Denise Patterson and Jackie Olson; adopted brothers and sisters Patricia Anderson, John (Lila) Anderson, Debra (Billy) Cavanaugh, Melody (John) Christianson, Chris (Carol) Anderson, Loreena (Bob) Skaro, Loreen Anderson and Blaine Anderson. Cheryll was preceded in death by her parents; husband Vernon Fox Sr.; son Terry Fox; brothers Allan Fassett, George Fassett and Gilbert Fassett; special family members Tracy Anderson, Sharon Anderson Gatlin and Sherry Anderson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
