Manuel Edward was born on May 7, 1983 at Devils Lake, North Dakota the son of Carol Faye Littleghost and Manuel Littlewind Sr. He lived most of his life in St. Michael. He attended school at Four Winds in Fort Totten, Wahpeton Boarding School and graduated from Mandan High School in 2000. He worked for a time at the Spirit Lake Casino as a cook and most recently as a flagger for Ames Construction. Manuel married Emmy Lou Herman on September 20, 2002 in Devils Lake, ND. They made their home in St. Michael. On May 1, 2003 they welcomed their first daughter Madisan and on April 1, 2007 they were blessed with daughter Cianna. Manuel very much enjoyed the times he spent with his children. He loved taking them to the park, family gatherings, the movies and out to dinner. He was a gentle, caring and loving Daddy. A special memory he shared with Emmy was their trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This was a special time for them. Manuel loved to visit around, play cards and had a lot of respect for his family and his elders. We have lost someone very special to us and we will miss Manuel forever.
