CLARENCE KAEDING

Clarence Kaeding, 89 of Devils Lake formerly of Penn, ND passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Heartland Care Center, Devils Lake. Funeral Services for Clarence will be held on Monday, January 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake. Chaplain Rachel Johnson will officiate and burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Monday from 8:30 a.m. until time of service. Clarence Kaeding was born on February 2, 1922 in Ramsey County, rural Devils Lake, North Dakota the son of Herman and Adelheide (Rhode) Kaeding. In 1949, Clarence was united in marriage to Clara Moen at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Devils Lake. They farmed in the Penn area for many years, retiring in 1983, moving to Devils Lake where they made their home. Clara died on May 1, 2011. Clarence is survived by several nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clara and two sisters.
