Lindsey R. Falcon, 35 of Minot, ND and the Spirit Lake Nation passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Paul, Minnesota.
Mass of Christian Burial for Lindsey will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND with Fr. Brian Moen celebrating the Mass. Family will be present and friends and family may sign the register book on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
Serving as Casket Bearers for Lindsey will be her brothers Elwayne Green and MacElwayne Bear, her adopted brother Alonzo Green, and uncles Alvin Bear and George Green.
Rhythm Riders will share their songs at the service.
Lindsey Renee was born on October 27, 1976 at Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Sonya B. (Bear) Knox and Gregory P. Knox (AKA Dietrich P. Knox). She was raised and educated on the Spirit Lake Nation graduating from Four Winds High School. She graduated from the Burdick Job Corp in Minot in 1996 with a certificate in Office Management and this is also where she met the love of her life Travis Falcon. Lindsey and Travis P. Falcon were united in marriage on October 29, 2007. They established their home in Minot.
Lindsey was a “stay at home Mom” who dedicated her life to being a devoted wife and mother. She made sure that no matter what was happening in her day, she was always there for her children; taking them to and from school and their activities and running all those necessary errands for her husband and family. She loved to travel, especially trips to see her dear family. She had many cousins and friends in Minot, Spirit Lake Nation and in Sacaton, Arizona.
Lindsey’s husband Travis and her children have loved her deeply and they will miss her more than any words can express. She will be in the hearts of all her family forever.
Lindsey is survived by her beloved family. Her husband, Travis P. Falcon of Minot; her children Allyssa, Wyatt and Renee Falcon all at home in Minot; parents Gregory P. Knox of Minneapolis, MN and mother Sonya B. Knox of Fort Totten, ND; brothers Elwayne Green and MacElwayne Bear; adopted brothers Robert A. Green and Alonzo Green; adopted sister Diondra F. Waanatan (Tiger); grandmother Patricia M. Knox of Sacaton, AZ; godmother and aunt, Anita Bear of Fort Totten and other aunts Belinda Longie of Tokio and Doris Longie of St. Michael; uncles Alvin Bear of Fort Totten, Anthony Knox, Michael Knox and Roderick Knox also of Sacaton; aunts in Arizona, Clara Ann Knox, Deloris Knox and Andrea Knox; father-in-law Gary Falcon Sr. of Grand Forks; special cousin Sherry Y. Longie of Fort Totten; sisters-in-law Brenda Falcon and Melissa Falcon of Reno, NV; brothers-in-law Gary Falcon Jr. and Matthew Falcon of Fargo.
Lindsey was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Henry M. and Margaret Ross Bear and paternal grandfather George L. Knox; brothers Delwayne Green and Dietrich Knox Jr.; sisters Crystal Dawn Green and Kimberly Knox; godfather Leslie Waanatan; six aunts and five uncles.
Lindsey’s family sends a very special thank you to the physicians, nurses and staff of Trinity Hospital in Minot and St. Joseph Hospital in St. Paul for their loving care, concern and kindness for Lindsey and for the family. Also special thanks to Fr. Moen and the Gilbertson Funeral Home for their help in this very difficult time.
