MICHAEL F. REIGER JR.

Michael F. Reiger Jr., 54 of Mandan formerly of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at his home. A Tribute to Mike’s Life will be held on Monday, April 23rd, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the Great Northern Building in Devils Lake. Pastor Rachel Johnson will lead the service and burial will take place at a later date at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, St. Michael, ND. Michael Francis, son of Michael and Elizabeth “Betty” (Rice) Reiger was born on January 30, 1958 at Devils Lake. He grew up and was educated in Devils Lake. In 1986, Mike moved to Leadville, Colorado and worked as a carpenter for many years. He returned to Devils Lake in 2004 and moved to Mandan in 2008 where he lived and worked at the time of his death. He had attended Rasmussen College of Bismarck and at the time of his death he was enrolled in the spring semester at Bismarck State College. Mike or “Ted” (after Ted Nugent) as music friends called him, loved to play his guitar and listen to Rock and Roll. He especially loved spending time with his family and dear friends. Mike will be truly missed by his loving family and the many friends he made through the years. Mike is survived by his sister Debbie Skavhaug and brothers Gregory Reiger and Gary Reiger all of Devils Lake and Martin Reiger of College Station, Texas; nieces and nephews Lindsey Skavhaug, Travis Skavhaug and Derick Germain and Cassandra Reiger and Shelby Reiger and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; a sister in 1959; grandparents Vernon and Mabel Rice and Joseph and Cecelia Reiger
