TYRONE A. CHASKE

Our beloved son, brother, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and dear friend, Tyrone A. Chaske, “Wapaha Zi”, (Yellow Hat), 42 of Devils Lake entered into the Spirit World on April 13, 2012 at his home. The procession will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday from Wal-Mart for the Wake Services at the Crow Hill Recreation Center, rural Fort Totten which will begin at 5:00 p.m. with the Rosary and Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services for Tyrone will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Fort Totten with Fr. Charles Leute OP celebrating the Mass. Music will be shared by Sioux Echo’s Drum Group of Cannon Ball, ND and all drums are welcome to share their songs. Tyrone will be laid to rest in St. Jerome's Catholic Cemetery, rural Fort Totten. Casket Bearers for Tyrone will be Whalen Wasacase, Waylon “Tuggs” St. Claire, Loren Fox, Terrell “Tee” Sullivan, David Sherman, Willard Chaske, Cynthia Thomas and Gilbert Chaske. Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Tyrone’s Relatives, Friends and Family. Tyrone, loving son of Millicent Chaske-Little was born on January 21, 1970 at Minneapolis, Minnesota. He attended Elementary School at Fort Totten and High School at Four Winds. He also attended Cankdeska Cikana Community College and received his certificate in carpentry. He was employed at K-Mart for a time and then at the Spirit Lake Casino and Resort on the drop team and later in the housekeeping department. Tyrone was forced to resign due to his health. Tyrone loved to spend time with his family and friends. He liked to joke around, play cards, take walks in the rain and listen to music-especially AC/DC. His favorite football team was the Vikings. Tyrone was kind hearted and always willing to help out. He loved to be around his nieces and nephews. Tyrone was really close to his special niece, Felaria Falcon and his only granddaughter Patrice Falcon and his cousins Jolene Murphy, Lisa Chaske, Jolleen (Chaske) St. Claire, Colleen Chaske, Waynita haske, Sean Lambert, Willard Chaske, Wayne Chaske, Winfield “June Bugs” Chaske Jr., Gilbert Chaske, Dallas Littlewind and Jason “Bug” Littlewind and his auntie Lois Littlewind. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Tyrone is survived by his mother Millicent (Chaske) Little; sisters Patty Kraft, Paula Thompson and adopted sister Peggy Cavanaugh; brothers Matt (Margaret) Little, Marlin Little and Arthur Little; special friend Darlys IronHawk; uncles Winfield Chaske, John (Ramona) Chaske and Al Cloud; aunts Bernice Chaske and Corrine Chaske. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his step father Paul Little; brother Merlin Little; paternal and maternal grandparents Joseph Chaske Sr. and Marian (Littlewind) Chaske; uncles Big Joe Chaske, Richard Jackson and Lawrence Green Sr.; aunts Evelyn Chaske, Darlene Chaske, Caroline Jackson and cousins John Chaske Jr. Melissa “Missy” Chaske and Rancee Jo Chaske.
