Bettymae Bell Rollings, 82 of Devils Lake, ND died on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. Funeral Services for Bettymae will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Devils Lake. Rev. David Birkeland will officiate. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Thursday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Serving as Casket Bearers will be Bettymae’s grandchildren, James Sedlmayr, Jeff Sedlmayr, Erin Sedlmayr, Nathan Guimont, Mitchell Guimont, Lucas Guimont and Amanda Guimont. Honorary Bearers will be Bob Ray, Gene Lang, Armen Hanson, Walter Hanson, Bob Weed, Michael Klemetsrud, David Johnston and Robert Upgren. Music will be provided by Mary Oehlke, soloist and Lynda Pearson, organist. Bettymae Bell Rollings was born on February 9, 1930 on Highway 23 between Quamba and Mora, Minnesota in the back of a Model T Ford Truck, daughter of Harry and Lucille (Edwards) Bell. Bettymae followed a sister, Joann Ekleberry and a brother, Vernon Bell followed her. Bettymae graduated from Mora High School in May 1947. In the summers she worked in Minneapolis. She worked at Miller’s Cafeteria from 15 years old until she graduated from Minnesota School of Business certified as a Secretary and Bookkeeper. She worked at the Minar Ford Company and University of Minnesota. For a hobby, she attended the Trificante School of Music where she learned to play an accordion. She played in the Trificante all accordion band for three years in her free time from work. Bettymae was united in marriage to Robert Rollings on September 20, 1952 at Minneapolis, Minnesota. They moved to Devils Lake in 1953. They raised three girls, Bobbi Jean, Becky and Julie. Bettymae was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Miriam Circle, Rebekah Lodge Olive Branch No. 9, Grand Harbor Homemakers and Retired Senior Volunteer Program. Bettymae is survived by her loving family. Her daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbi and Steve Sedlmayr of Nelson, Wisconsin, Becky and Lon Shroyer of Grand Forks, ND and Julie and Dan Guimont of Anoka, Minnesota; grandchildren James (Vanessa) Sedlmayr, Jeff (Alex) Sedlmayr, Erin (fiancé, Hickory) Sedlmayr and Nathan Guimont, Mitchell Guimont, Lucas Guimont and Amanda Guimont and great grandson Wyatt Sedlmayr. Bettymae was preceded in death by her husband Robert Rollings; parents Harry and Lucille and her brother Vernon Bell.
