Barbara B. Armentrout, 77 of Fort Mohave, Arizona passed away at her home on August 25, 2012 in the care of her family and Hospice.
Funeral Services for Barbara will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake.
Barbara Benita, daughter of Morris and Irene (Curry) Hanson was born on August 22, 1935 in Langdon, ND. She lived with her family in Loma, ND until age six then they moved to Devils Lake where she was reared and educated.
Barbara was united in marriage to Harold Armentrout in 1953. They established their home in Devils Lake where they lived, worked and raised their family. Barbara worked for several years at Manns Department Store.
Harold passed away on January 25, 1976 and Barbara later moved to Arizona where she was head of the housekeeping department at the Pioneer Casino for 28 years. Barbara was a hard worker, but when she had time off she enjoyed the outdoors and growing flowers.
Barbara is survived by her loving children. Her daughter, Robin Huffman of Devils Lake and her sons, Mark (Penny) Armentrout and Monte Armentrout all of Devils Lake, Bradley Armentrout of Minnewaukan, ND and Todd Armentrout of Maddock, ND; eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren; brother, Bruce (Barbara) Hanson of San Diego, California; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Delores Common, Norma and Art Skramstad, Rose Armentrout, Delores Armentrout and Mary Beth Armentrout.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Irene Hanson-Klick, Morris Hanson and step-father, Henry Klick; husband, Harold J. Armentrout; sons, James Harold “Jim” Armentrout and Terrance Lee “Terry” Armentrout and Harold Howard Armentrout; daughter Roxanne Kay Armentrout; grandson, Jason Huffman.
