Veronica Georgeanna Cavanaugh, Maka Mani Win” (Walks This Earth Woman), 3 month old daughter of Walter Cavanaugh and Tioga Whitetail of Fort Totten, ND passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at her home.
Our precious Veronica will be at her Grandma Sally and the late Grandpa Porgie Cavanaugh’s house on Friday, September 21, 2012 beginning at 10:30 a.m. At 5:30 p.m. the Wake for Veronica will be held at the Fort Totten Recreation Center with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to the Cavanaugh home will leave at 10:00 a.m. on Friday from Wal-Mart. The procession to the Fort Totten Recreation Center will leave on Friday at 5:00 p.m.
Funeral Services for Veronica will also be at the Fort Totten Recreation Center on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jimmy Harris officiating. She will be laid to rest with her Grandpa Porgie at the Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Fort Totten.
Veronica was born on June 11, 2012 at Devils Lake, ND, the beautiful daughter of Walter and Tioga. Her life was short but she touched our lives in such a special way. We loved her so very much and we can’t imagine our lives without her.
Veronica is survived by her parents, Walter and Tioga; brothers Jaden Whitetail, Jaeshaun Shaw, Vincent Shaw, Jordaine Whitetail and adopted brother Morning Star Dye; sisters Eliza Cavanaugh, Olivia Cavanaugh, Tamya Cavanaugh and Tariah Cavanaugh; maternal grandparents Anna Thomas Scott and Martin Whitetail Sr. and maternal great grandmothers Christine Alex and Lorraine Greybear; paternal grandmother Sally Cavanaugh and paternal great grandmother Lillian DeMarce; aunts and uncles Martina Whitetail, Grayson Dye, Kari Ann Whitetail, Megan and Joey WhiteEagle, Marilyn Whitetail, Marlin Thompson, Tierra and Cierra Scott, Dion Gardner, Shaylee Scott, Raylene Scott, McKenzie Scott, Shayla Scott, Tyson WhiteTail and Martin Whitetail Jr., Travis Littleghost, Charlene Cavanaugh, Melissa TwoHearts and Roger Alberts, Wade Nestell and adopted aunt, Ann Scott; god parents Martina Whitetail and Grayson Dye and many cousins.
Veronica was preceded in death by her grandpa, Walter “Porgie” Cavanaugh and many other relatives.
