She was reared and educated in the Warwick area, attending Hillsdale #3 Grade School, rural Warwick. She played basketball at Warwick High School and graduated with the class of 1954. She went onto Minot College and received her teaching certificate and taught her first year at a country school in rural Grace City, North Dakota. Beverly was united in marriage to Tilford W. Schlieve on December 29, 1955 at Crookston, MN. Tilford was called to serve his country so Beverly made her home on the Schlieve family farm, rural Webster. After Tilford’s discharge from the service, they moved to Devils Lake where they lived, worked and raised their family through the many years. Beverly worked as a nurses’ aide at Mercy Hospital for several years. She also continued her education, taking summer classes, and received her teaching degree. She then taught at the Tokio School until it closed. Beverly then turned a special talent in design and an eye for decorating into a career. She began a 37 year career with Home Interior and Gifts in 1972 and gave it up only when her health no longer permitted her to continue. Of course Beverly had many other talents and hobbies but her cooking and baking skills were a stand out with the family. She was famous for her delicious bread and buns. Beverly never missed a chance to be with family and attend the many school activities her grandchildren were involved in. Beverly was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, active in the community and school and member of the PTA.
