Andrew “Chuck” Greywater was born April 17, 1941 at East End, St. Michael, ND, the son of Alex Greywater and Elizabeth Robertson. He went to school at St. Michael and Fort Totten, ND where is also grew up. Chuck met the love of his life, Mary Jo Charboneau in 1972 and they were united in marriage by Fort Totten Courts and later had their marriage blessed by the church on June 7, 1977. They established their home in Fort Totten where they would live, work and raise their family through the years. Chuck worked at the Fort Totten Police Department as a police officer, at Sioux Manufacturing Corp. and as a CHR. He also worked on his farm for himself and other farmers in the area for a time. Up until Chuck’s passing, he worked at the Spirit Lake Casino. He loved his jobs, his co-workers and all the conversations he had with everyone he met. Chuck loved spending time with his wife, family and grandchildren. He would always make sure and give his sister Delemma a call every day to catch up with all the latest news. He loved driving places with his boy Emery and doing things with him. They would go out some times to gather trees or just to pick rocks. He liked playing bingo when he would get a chance, or watching TV game and comedy shows and loved going to rodeos. He loved when summer would come so he could plant his big garden and go to the Blue Building to chat the breeze with Solomon Sherman and Kenneth “Spune” Dunn. We will miss Chuck always being there. He loved to joke around with everyone and especially his grandchildren. There was never a dull moment when he was around. Chuck was a very kind, loving person who would never turn anyone away that needed help. Chuck touched each and everyone who knew him and he loved everyone.
