GLORIA JEAN SCHLITTENHART

Gloria J. Schlittenhart, 70 of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Saturday morning, December 15, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. Funeral Services for Gloria will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home Chapel, Devils Lake with Rev. Jamie Desai officiating. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Music will be provided by Roger French. Gloria Jean, daughter of Samuel and Olivia (Wold) Ray was born on August 26, 1942 at Devils Lake, ND. She was reared in Doyon and attended elementary school there. Gloria graduated from Devils Lake Central High School with the class of 1960. Gloria married Jerome Bokn on July 7, 1963 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. They established their home in Devils Lake and Gloria worked as a Clothes Buyer for Manns Department Store. Gloria married Roger French on November 27, 1985. While living in Devils Lake, Gloria worked at a variety of jobs. In 1996, she began working at Lake Region Corporation and continued there until the time of her death. Gloria was united in marriage to Eldon Schlittenhart on May 7, 1993 and he passed away on July 2, 1997. Gloria loved gardening, shopping and listening to her favorite records. Gloria is survived by her children-Dale Bokn of Devils Lake, David Bokn of Bismarck, ND, Olivia Eagan Rowell of Devils Lake and Ben (Veronica) French of Fargo, ND; granddaughter, Ali Jo Bokn and grandson, Eliah Person both of Devils Lake; brother, Richard Ray of Renton, WA; special cousin, Rodney Haugland of Pekin, ND; honorary grandkids, Nicolas and Melissa Anderson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Olivia; daughter-in-law, Laurie Bokn and an infant brother.
