Michele Rae “Pretty Girl” Red Fox “Wahca To Winyan” (Blue Flower Woman), 42 passed away January 2, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks ND due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in rural Warwick early Sunday morning, December 30, 2012.
The Wake for Michele will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Woodlake Recreation Center, Tokio, ND beginning at 4:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to Tokio, will leave on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. from Wal-Mart.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 7th at 2:00 p.m. also at the Woodlake Recreation Center with Rev. Enright BigHorn and Rev. Tony American Horse Jr. officiating. Music will be provided by Tony American Horse Jr. Loretta Stensland, Melissa Merrick, Hunter Street and Drum Groups are welcome to share their songs in memory of Michele.
Michele was born April 11, 1970, in Devils Lake North Dakota at Mercy Hospital. She was the daughter of Geraldine (Thompson) Red Fox and the late Archie Red Fox Jr. Michele attended school at Warwick Public School and graduated with the Class of 88’. She began working at a young age and was a hard worker throughout her lifetime. She was employed by North Dakota Job Service youth program. When that program ended, Michele began working for the CCDP (Comprehensive Child Development Program) then continued on to the Early Head Start program where she earned her CDA. Michele began employment at Sioux Manufacturing Corporation where she was currently employed as Quality Assurance Inspector.
During her spare time, Michele loved to spend time with her grandson Carson Boy. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for her famous oven bread and apple pie. Michele also liked to spend time with her many friends, playing pool. Michele liked to visit and always had a story and a laugh for everyone. She also like watching movies, listening to music and working on Sudoku puzzles. Spending time with her family brought her the most joy and happiness as her family was very precious to her.
