Magdalene A. “Maggie” Weber, 82 of Devils Lake formerly of the Calio, ND area, passed away early Sunday morning, February 24, 2013 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. C.F. Wilhelm celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Calio, ND.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Friday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass.
Magdalene was born July 15, 1930 at Berwick, ND to Matthew and Eva (Walters) Heisler. She moved with her family to the Starkweather area when she was 6 years old. She attended school in Seivert Township through the 8th grade.
Magdalene was united in marriage to George Weber on July 3, 1950 in Calio, ND. After their marriage they lived on a farm south of Calio until 1992. George passed away on October 19, 1992 and that is when Magdalene moved to Devils Lake. Maggie moved to the Heartland Care Assisted Living in 2010.
Maggie loved being with her family especially on holidays and birthdays. She enjoyed gardening, family picnics, Bingo and a good game of pinochle. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her great joy. She also liked to help people in their time of need.
Maggie was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Calio, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Munich and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Devils Lake. Maggie was also involved with St. Jude’s Circle, the Altar Society and did help with Daycare as part of RSVP.
Maggie is survived by her sons Glen Weber and his wife Nancy of Starkweather, ND, Mike Weber and his wife Isie of Minot, ND, Gary Weber and his wife Teresa of Cando, ND, Dale Weber of Moorhead, MN and Steve Weber of Devils Lake; eleven grandchildren; six step grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Marlys Lehman, Catherine Weber and Lena Dibble; brothers-in-law Leo Weber and Edmund Weber; several nieces and nephews.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents; husband George and brother Edward Heisler.

Serving as Casket Bearers for Magdalene are Chad Weber, Josh Kleckner, Kenny Weber, John Weber, Vern Heisler, Ben Holien, Brady Weber and Evan Lang.
Reading the Scriptures will be Amber Rosinski and Madison Weber and Gift Bearers are Griffin Weber, Chantel Lindenberg, Ashley Weber, Bonita Humble and Jacob Lang.
