Delores R. Hoffart, of Devils Lake, ND passed away Saturday morning, May 11, 2013 at her home. She was 73 years old.
Mass of the Resurrection for Delores will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake. Fr. C.F. Wilhelm will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery beside her parents.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass.
Serving as Casket Bearers for Delores will be Doug Olson, Gary Wilhelmi, David Hoffart, Wade Hoffart and Jason Hoffart.
Reading the Scriptures will be Gary Wilhelmi and Mary Ann Hoffart.
Gift Bearers will be Jerome and Mary Hoffart
Music will be provided by JoDee Lagein and Peter A. Hager.
Delores Rita, daughter of Anton and Theresa (Klein) Hoffart was born on March 12, 1940 at Knox, North Dakota, and was the eighth of nine children born to the Hoffarts. In 1941, at the age of one, she moved with her parents and siblings to Southam, North Dakota where she grew up and was cared for by all the members of her large family. In 1958, Delores moved to Grafton and on September 9, 2006, moved to her current home in Devils Lake with services provided by Lake Region Corporation.
Delores loved music and was always a toe-tapping listener. She enjoyed looking a catalogues and magazines with her family. Delores was a happy-go-lucky, smiling, laughing sister and friend. We shall miss you very much but know those who have gone before us wait to welcome you.
Delores is survived by her beloved sister, brothers, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Leo and Doris Hoffart, Mary Hoffart, all Devils Lake, Eleanor and Kenneth Sime, Bowman, ND, Dennis and Marion Hoffart, Nadine Hoffart all of Grand Forks, ND, Rosella Olson, Jerome and Mary M. Hoffart all of Devils Lake; aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leonard Hoffart and Richard Hoffart; sister, Irene Wilhelmi; brothers-in-law, Harold Olson and Francis Wilhelmi.
