Dalton M. Green, 52 of Tokio, ND began his journey to the spirit world on Monday, June 17, 2013 at his home.
A Wake for Dalton will be held at the WoodLake Wellness Center, Tokio, ND on Friday, June 21, 2013 beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to Tokio will leave at 5:00 p.m. on Friday from Wal-Mart.
Funeral Services for Dalton will also be at the WoodLake Wellness Center on Saturday, June 22nd at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Thiele officiating. Burial will be in the Bdecan Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Tokio.
Music will be provided by Tony and Vina McDonald, Clifford Littlewind Drum Group and any other Drum Groups are welcome to share their songs in memory of Dalton.
Casket Bearers for Dalton will be Tony Guy, Paul Lawrence, David Sherman, Willard Chaske, Waylon Shaw, Frank Cavanaugh, Jerry Robinson and Terry Dunn.

Dalton Murray Green began his earthly journey on May 12, 1961 in Devils Lake, ND, the son of Lawrence Green Sr. and Eunice Ross. He attended school at St. Michael and then went to Wahpeton Boarding School through the 8th grade. He attended high school in Flandreau, South Dakota and graduated from Fort Totten High School. He was a star basketball player at Flandreau and Fort Totten. He continued his education at Kicking Horse Job Corps in Montana and later attended college in Mobridge, South Dakota.
Dalton worked in Logan, Utah, Bismarck, ND, Browning, Montana and after moving back to the Spirit Lake Nation he worked for DTI (Dakota Tribal Industries) Sioux Manufacturing Corporation and the Fort Totten Police Department.
Dalton had a passion for beading and other Native American arts and crafts. He also generously taught this beautiful art of beading to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, going to basketball games and pow-wows.
Dalton was so proud of his “girls” and adored his grandchildren. We will all miss him so very much and will hold his memory in our hearts.
Dalton is survived by his loving family. His daughters, Lynissa Green and Dalta Green; son, Doltan Sietcidy of Keyenta, AZ; Amaré J. Robinson and Aubrey J. Robinson; step children, Justin Quilt and Bradley Agard; friend, Lois TreeTop; brothers, Lawrence Green Jr., Milton Green Sr., George Green, Ross Green, Robert Green and Richard Green; sisters, Charlene Green and Marveen Eliserio; aunts, Margie Ross, Millicent Little, Bernice Chaske, Amelia Chalis and Evelyn Ross; uncles, Winfield Chaske, Sr., John Chaske and Kenneth Dunn; many nieces, nephews and cousins
