He worked at several casinos, usually as a Black Jack dealer, including the Dakota Sioux Casinos in Tokio, St. Michael and Watertown, South Dakota. When he returned to North Dakota, he continued to work at the casinos, attended the Cankdeska Cikana Community College where he received his Associate of Arts Degree in Business and also served as an instructor at CCCC. He then worked in finance for the Spirit Lake Tribe and also worked at the “Dakota Journal” (the Spirit Lake Nation Newspaper). Most recently, David was employed at the Spirit Lake Casino and Resort. David was very talented as a “Traditional Dancer” and as a drummer and singer with the “Eagle Tail Singers”. His talent didn’t stop there. David also did beautiful beading, drawings and creating the beadwork and other accessories for dance costumes. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing and hunting. We will greatly miss our beloved Dad, son, grandpa, uncle, brother, nephew and dear friend.
