Milton J. Green, Jr., 27 of WoodLake, ND passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at rural WoodLake. The Wake for Milton will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd, at the Tokio Recreation Center, Tokio, ND beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to Tokio will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday from Wal-Mart. Funeral Services for Milton will be on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Recreation Center with Pastor Larry Thiele officiating. Milton will be laid to rest in the Bdecan Presbyterian Cemetery beside other family members. Milton James, son of Milton Green Sr. and Marcella (Littlewind) Green was born on May 14, 1986 at Devils Lake, ND. He lived most of his life in the Woodlake area and was raised by his Aunt Margaret Small and his uncle Ronald Small. He attended elementary school at the Warwick Public School and then attended Four Winds at Fort Totten. He later received his GED attending classes at the Cankdeska Cikana Community College. Milton worked at a variety of jobs, including employment at Taco John’s and McDonald’s. For the past several years, Milton has worked road construction with Precision Roadways, Inc. and Close Construction. Milton had a passion for playing basketball and singing his Native American songs whenever he could. Milton also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. But more than anything he wanted to be a good father to his “kids” whom he loved so very, very much. Milton has left us too soon but he will be in our hearts forever. Milton is survived by his loving family. His father, Milton Green Sr. of WoodLake and mother, Marcella Green of Fort Totten; five sons, Algin Green, Aiden Green, Alias Green, Amari Green and Alex Green and two daughters;5 brothers and 5 sisters, William Green, Devils Lake, Evangelita Farland ShortMan, Monument Valley, Utah, Jason Feather, Fort Totten, Angie Longie, Tolna, ND, Macelwayne Bear, WoodLake, Amanda Sherman, Fort Totten, Elwayne Green, WoodLake, Robin Green, Fort Totten, Eunice Green, Devils Lake and Joshua Hoffner also of Devils Lake; grandma, Cora Iceman; aunts, Trudy Iceman, Arliss Krulish, Arlene Krulish, Bernadine Littlewind, Marveen Eliserio and Charlene Green; uncles, Darren Iceman, Delmer Iceman, Raynard Iceman, Manuel Littlewind Sr, Lawrence Green Jr., George Green, Robert Green, Richard Green and Ross Green; all of the families of Milton’s aunts and uncles were very special to him; Milton was preceded in death by his brother, Delwayne Green; sister, Crystal Green; grandpas, Lawrence Green Sr., Lawrence Littlewind Sr. and Vincent Sherman; grandmas, Irene Littlewind, Rachael TwoHearts, Katie TwoHearts, Priscilla Touche and Eunice Green; uncles, Lawrence Littlewind Jr., Delvin Littlewind, Maynard Littlewind, Stacy Littlewind, Delvin Ross and Dalton Green; aunts, Margaret Small, Miriam Ross, Dina Littleghost, Beverly Littleghost and Dorothy Spotted Bird and cousins, Manuel Littlewind Jr. and Joquin de la Paz. Active Pallbearers for Milton will be Macelwayne Bear, Elwayne Green, Anthony Guy, Jason Feather, Joe Small, Joshua Hoffner and Jesse Jackson. Honorary Bearers will be Stella Cavanaugh and family, Solomon Sherman, Virgil and Vonnie Feather and family, Marva Tollefson and family, Crystal LeftBear, Larry and June Lockwood and family, Jesse Cavanaugh, Sherri Thompson, Jessica Pledger and family, Duane Smith and family, Charlene Green and family, Terry Smith and family. Rhythm Riders and Clifford Littlewind Drum Group will sing songs in memory of Milton. Any other drum groups are also welcome.
