Robert J. Rinehardt, age 61, a local Devils Lake businessman, passed away Saturday morning at 1:40am, July 20, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. He suffered a downhill case of illness followed by pneumonia and a stroke. Robert John, son of Ernest and Elaine (Oakland) Rinehardt, was born on October 3, 1951 in St. Paul, Minnesota. At a young age, he moved with his family to Florida where he was reared and educated. He traveled and worked in several states, including a job as a Security Guard at the Aladdin Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he met Connie Schmidgall and later married in the year of 1983 in Illinois. In the early 1990’s, Robert and Connie moved to Bisbee, ND to connect with family, and then to Devils Lake to raise their two children. Robert had a passion for electronics and received a degree in computer technology and repair in 1995. There, they established the business of R&R Computers, still active to date. Robert will not be forgotten and he lives on with us in our memories, and in our hearts. Robert is survived by his loving family: His beloved Connie of Devils Lake; daughters, Dawn Rinehardt and Amanda Rinehardt; daughters from a previous marriage Tabitha Bachmeier and Moon Rinehardt; grandson, Garrett Bachmeier; his mother, Elaine Rinehardt-Coploff all of Devils Lake; brother, Steve Rinehardt, Devils Lake; half brother, Gordon Coploff; half sisters, Robin Steffen, Lisa Rinehardt and Debbie Rinehardt; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Ernest.
