Brandi Mae Stewart

Brandi Mae Stewart-Guy, our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, aunt and cousin passed onto the Spirit World early Sunday morning, September 8, 2013. She was 15 years old. A Wake will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2013 beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Dakotah Oyate Lutheran Church, rural Tokio with Rev. Larry Thiele officiating. The procession to Tokio will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday from Wal-Mart. Funeral Services for Brandi will be held on Monday, September 16th at 10:00 a.m. also at Dakotah Oyate Lutheran Church. Brandi will be laid to rest at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery, St. Michael, ND. Serving as Casket Bearers for Brandi will be Lynn Guy, Janelle Guy, Greg Stewart, Dalton Stewart, Travis Guy and Lee Lenoir Jr. Honorary Bearers will be all of Brandi’s dear friends and relatives, Classmates from BHS and the Native American Club. Brandi Mae, the daughter of Lisa Guy and Greg Stewart was born on May 31, 1998 at Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She lived in Detroit Lakes for a few years, then moved to Bismarck. She attended elementary school in Bismarck and was presently a Freshman at Bismarck High School. She enjoyed watching high school sports, especially basketball and was number one Chicago Bulls fan. Brandi was very artistic and was working hard to develop her talents. Brandi’s life touched so many people and we can’t imagine our lives without her. Her warm and caring heart, her beautiful smile and her special laugh will be in our memories forever. We will miss her but we will never forget our Brandi. Brandi is survived by her parents, her mother, Lisa Guy of Bismarck and her father, Greg Stewart of Detroit Lakes, MN; sisters, Charlene Stewart, Jessica Guy and Kya Dewall; brother, Devon Bergstrom; maternal grandfather, Duane (Elaine) Guy and maternal grandmother, Marilyn Meade, paternal grandfather, Gilbert Stewart and paternal grandmother, Theresa Ballanger; aunts and uncles, Miranda Guy, Michelyn Guy, Janelle Guy, Neva Whiteshield, Barris Guy, Travis Guy, Shawn Guy, John Guy, Suna Guy, Christopher Whiteshield, Chad Stewart, Anthony Stewart, Dalton Stewart, Billy Jo Stewart and Shayna Butcher; special cousin, Sabrina Guy; many nieces, nephews, cousins, great aunts and great uncles also survive. If we have forgotten to name someone, it was not intentional. Please forgive us as we are doing the best we can in this very difficult time. Brandi was preceded in death by her great grandmothers, Rita DeMarce and Rose Guy and great grandfather, Robert Stone; aunt, Rochelle Stewart; cousin, Terrell Guy and other relatives.
