DALE J. BOKN

Dale J. Bokn, 49 of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013 at his home. Funeral Services for Dale will be held on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home Chapel, Devils Lake with Rev. Jamie Desai, Pastor of Our Saviors Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until time of services. Dale Joseph, son of Jerome and Gloria (Ray) Bokn was born on January 18, 1964 at Devils Lake, ND. He lived his entire life in Devils Lake, graduating from Devils Lake High School with the class of 1982. Dale worked for various construction companies in the area for several years. He worked at the Liquor Locker and for Eric Boren as an apartment manager. Most recently, Dale worked at the Devils Lake Chrysler Center. Dale met his beloved Laurie Larson in 1993 and they were the proud parents of Ali Jo Bokn who was born in May of 1996. Dale and Laurie were united in marriage on March 24, 2004 in Jamaica. Dale was an outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dale is survived by his daughter, Ali of Devils Lake; father, Jerome Bokn also of Devils Lake; step son, Derek Arnaud and his wife Tabitha; grandson, Vincent Black Arnaud; mother-in-law, Beverly Larson; brothers, Ryan, David and Benjamin; sisters, Sheila and Olivia; He was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie on May 23, 2012; mother, Gloria Schlittenhart; grandma Alice; father-in-law, John Larson and brother-in-law, Bruce Larson.
