Anne Holler
Anne Holler, age 92, oldest life-long resident of Crary, ND passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND surrounded by her loving family.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake on Wednesday, September 25th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Matthew Kraemer celebrating the Mass. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery, rural Crary following lunch and fellowship at the Parish Center.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Tuesday, September 24th beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass.
Casket Bearers will be Anne’s grandsons, Chad Holler, Drew Holler, Derrick Holler, Mathew Senger, Carson Bosch and Anne’s great grandson, Alex Klein. Honorary Bearers will be Anne’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Music will be provided by JoDee Lagein and Dennis and Jean Aardahl. Reading the Scriptures will be Anne’s son, Paul Holler and Gift Bearers will be Anne’s great granddaughters, Kirstyn Senger and Haley Egeberg.
Anne was one of the sixteen children born to John and Caroline (Miller) Schall on September 11, 1921 at Crary, ND. She grew up in Crary and attended the Noonan School with her siblings.
Anne was united in marriage to John J. Holler on May 6, 1942 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crary. Anne was a loving mother of fourteen children which included four sets of twins. Roger (Carol) Holler, Las Vegas, Nevada, Rosemary Korienek, San Jose, California, Mary Ann (Steve) Gordon-Forbes, Oregon City, Oregon, twins, Ron (Kathy) Holler, Grand Forks, ND and Don (Ceya) Holler, Devils Lake, Ed Holler, Crary, Dennis Holler also Devils Lake, twins Marie (Don) Suman, Milan, Illinois and Monica (Gary) Senger also of Crary, twins Paul Holler, Mesa, Arizona and Pauline (Glen) Bosch, Devils Lake and Joseph Holler of Crary.
Anne was the best Grandma and Great Grandma always giving kisses and hugs to her eighteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Grandchildren: Jeremiah Holler, Stefan Korienek, Derrick (Jana) Holler, Bethany (Steve) Egeberg, Drew, Ivy, Chad and Angie Holler, Stefanie and Cameron Gordon-Forbes, Alisha and Daniel Suman, Chasity (Jesse) Everson, Mathew, Jason and Tyler Senger, Carson and Connor Bosch and Great Grandchildren Jaxson and Ronan Holler, Kirstyn Senger, Halle and Vaya Everson, Alex Klein, Haley, Breya and Bradon Egeberg.
She is also survived by four sisters, Katie Reynen of Davis, OK, Veronica Leiphon of Devils Lake, Eleanor Jacobs of Dixon, CA and Esther (Sidney) Mason of Price, Utah; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Schall and Elizabeth Schall both of Devils Lake and many nieces and nephews.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents, John and Caroline; loving husband John who died May 15, 2000; her infant twin son and daughter John and Jeanette who died in 1948; sisters Lena Bertsch, Rosie Fossen, Barbara Dodgson and three infant sisters; brothers Lawrence, Frank, Bert, Wendy and Jack Schall.
Anne will be laid to rest beside her loving husband John of 58 years in the Crary Cemetery. She will be dearly missed. Anne always thought of others before herself and was a kind and caring to everyone she met.
