DONNA BERNEICE TREON-BROWNING

Donna Berneice Treon Browning, 69 of Cornelius, Oregon passed away on September 29, 2013 at Hillsboro, Oregon. Funeral Services for Donna will be held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with Rev. Jeff Nicla officiating. Burial will be held at the Hillside Cemetery, rural Oberon at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Donna Berneice, youngest of eleven children born to Orville and Thea (Djoseland) Treon was born at Devils Lake, ND on July 3, 1944. Donna was reared and educated in the Oberon area and graduated from Oberon High School. She was baptized at West Antelope Valley Lutheran Church and confirmed at Calvary Lutheran Church both in Oberon. Donna worked at Eddy County Court House for several years, then moved to Oregon in 1968 with her parents. Donna was united in marriage to Riley Browning on March 5, 1976 in Reno, Nevada and they made their home in Oregon. Riley passed away on February 23, 1982. While living in Oregon, Donna did Home Child Care for many years. Donna is survived by her sisters, Eloise and her husband, Marty Lucht of New Rockford, ND, Ivy Johnson of Spring Lake Park, MN, Ann Wheeler of Kenai, AK, Ardy and her husband Glenn Salisbury of Devils Lake; brother, Delano and his wife Joannie Treon of Culver, Oregon; sister-in-law, Elna Treon of Aloha, OR; special niece, Joan Treon Carlson of Forest Grove, OR; special cousin, Kay Neer Lohnes of Hillsboro, OR; special great great nieces, Mariah and Lilly and many nephews, nieces, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Riley; step-son Tom Browning; Mom and Dad; in-laws, Lee and Edna Compton; brothers and sisters and sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, LeRoy Treon, Marlyn and Ruth Treon, Berneice Treon at age 2, Dorothy and Harold Johnson, Lorraine and Raymond Anderson, Bill Johnson and Willis Wheeler.
