Chad E. Weber, age 34 formerly of Devils Lake passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 in Wisconsin. Chad Edward was born on May 12, 1979 in Harvey, ND, the son of Kenneth and Linda (Schmitt) Weber. He attended Sweetwater Elementary School, Central Middle School and Devils Lake High School. He also attended Trinity Bible College in Ellendale where he met his wife and he was united in marriage to BobbiJo Bauman on May 29, 2006 in Ripon, WI. They established their home in Ellendale and Chad was the owner and operator of Weber Tree Removal. Chad enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping, fishing and hunting. He loved his daily coffee, playing games on-line and always appreciated good food. Chad always had a curiosity about how things worked and loved taking things apart and putting them back together. However he was not always successful in fixing but loved giving any project a try. Chad loved his sons, and spending time with them was his greatest enjoyment. Chad is survived by his wife, BobbiJo Weber of Markesan, WI; his sons, Mathias, Zander and Sterling Weber, all of Markesan and Ethan Seltvedt of South Dakota; his parents, Linda and Kenneth Weber of Devils Lake; his siblings, Kristy (Paul) Wishinsky of Gardner, ND and their children, Paul Matheny Jr., Lexi and Drew Greene; Nathan (Kristina) Weber of Devils Lake and their children, John and Chase Weber; and Kelsey Weber also of Devils Lake; his grandmothers, Amelia Schmitt of Towner, ND and Catherine Weber of Devils Lake; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Kalton and Sheryl Bauman of Markesan, WI and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Schmitt and Mathias Weber and two uncles in infancy. Mass of the Resurrection for Chad will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake. Chad will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Saturday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Serving as Casket Bearers for Chad will be his brother, Nathan Weber, nephews, Paul Matheny and Drew Greene, his uncle John Schmitt and friends, Craig Thomas and Keith Mudgett. Honorary Bearers for Chad will be his sons, Ethan Seltvedt, Mathias, Zander and Sterling Weber, sisters, Kristy Wishinsky and Kelsey Weber, niece, Lexi Greene and nephews, John and Chase Weber. Reading the Scriptures will be his cousins, Glen Weber and Steve Weber and bringing forth of the Eucharistic Gifts will be his siblings, Kristy, Nathan and Kelsey. Music will be provided by Patty Cote and Marla Luehring.
