WASAKA JOSEPH STONE

Wasaka Joseph Stone, (means “Powerful”) began his journey to the Spirit World on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.   Family and friends will gather at St. Michael’s Recreation Center on Friday beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a time of prayer at 8:00 p.m.   Funeral Services for Wasaka will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND.   Wasaka was born on March 8, 2014 in Devils Lake, to Jonathan Stone and Louise Fox. He enjoyed spending time with his older sisters and listening to his oldest sister Aliza sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” to him. Wasaka also enjoyed cuddling with his sock monkey and all his other stuffed animals. He also loved listening to his mommy talk to him and kiss him all up. Wasaka also enjoyed the time Grandma Janet had with him and her loving kisses and sweet words. Wasaka got to listen to Grandpa J.R. and Becka sing to him and enjoyed them being by his side. He also enjoyed his Auntie Lacy smelling his toes and quietly, very quietly being by his handsome little side. Wasaka loved listening to his Godparents talk to him and hold his hands; they were by his side from the moment he got here to the moment he left. Wasaka was such a strong baby boy while he visited us.
