DOROTHY VARGAS

Dorothy Vargas Dorothy Vargas, 66, died Saturday January 4th at her home in Devils Lake, ND. Dorothy was born in Jamestown, ND to Paul and Hulda Lang on March 9th, 1947. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Trinidad of 46 years and their son, Trini (Jessica) and two grandchildren (Cruz and Kya). She is also survived by her mother (Hulda), three brothers, Greg Lang (Mary), Ronald Lang (Franklin), Michael Lang (Michelle) and sister, Melody Lang. Dorothy moved to Devils Lake, ND with her husband and son in 1969. She will always be remembered being by her husband’s side with a smile and laugh that brought joy to everyone she encountered. Dorothy cherished the time she spent talking with her son on the phone several times a week and visiting his family in NY, spending time and making tortillas with her grandchildren, talking to her sister Melody and best friend Linda on the phone, and helping her customers at Leevers. Dorothy also treated her son’s friends like they were her own. They all knew that when they walked into her door that she would welcome them with open arms. She loved making them their favorite foods and would make her amazing Mexican eggs for them anytime, day or midnight! Unfortunately, Dorothy’s smile and laugh will be missed by all who knew her!!! Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held Saturday May 10th, 2014 at 11:00 am, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 612 14th Ave NE, Devils Lake, ND.
