TOBY J. MILLER

Toby J. Miller, 30 of Edmore, formerly of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 due to injuries sustained from an accident. Funeral Services for Toby will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with Reverend Don Reynolds officiating. Friends may call at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Toby John, son of Nicholas and Sandra (Schlabsz) was born on August 17, 1983 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake where he was also raised and educated. He attended Prairie View Elementary School, Central Middle School and graduated from Devils Lake High School with the class of 2002. He was active in JROTC and also played hockey. Toby worked at Nordic Fiberglass for five years and for the last several years he had been working at odd jobs in the Lake Region area. For the past 9 months, Toby has made Edmore his home. Toby loved listening to music, fishing, roller bladeing, playing pool and biking. Recently he had started to show talent at several forms of needlework. Toby was all about family; in his love for them, in his thankfulness for their unconditional love and in knowing what their love and support meant in every aspect of his life. Toby’s life was short, but we, his family, have many memories of special times with Toby and we will hold them in our hearts forever. Toby is survived by his daughter Jada Grace Winnegge; parents Sandy Miller of Edmore and Nick Miller of Devils Lake; sister Trista Severinson and her fiancé Kyle Arends of Bottineau, ND; adopted sister Cindy Frias of Devils Lake; niece Shaylee Miller; nephew and godson Devin Severinson; grandfather Clarence Miller, Devils Lake and several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Toby was preceded in death by his grandparents Bernice Miller, Eunice and Walter Schlabsz.
