Angeline “Angie” R. Hager, 94 of Devils Lake, ND passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Home in Devils Lake in the loving care of her family.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Very Reverend C.F. Wilhelm celebrating the Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation on Thursday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass.
Angeline Rose, daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth (Steffan) Leiphon was born December 29, 1919 in Devils Lake and educated at rural Minnewaukan Township School.
Angeline was united in marriage to John L. Hager, June 9, 1941 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, rural Crary, ND. They made their home in Ramsey County where they lived, worked and raised their family. After John retired from farming, they moved to Devils Lake.
Angeline was always a faithful servant, hard worker, doing domestic jobs for family and friends and keeping up with family chores as well. She also enjoyed baking for family and friends.
We will miss her dearly and will cherish special memories of her.
Angeline is survived by her children, Pete (Ellen) Hager, Ann (Charles) Breckheimer and Dorothy Hager all of Devils Lake and Donna Bourassa-Fawcett, Farmington, MN; grandchildren Lynn Hager; Jeffery (Kate) Breckheimer, Janelle (Jim) Vonasek, Shannon (Greg) Rudesill; Tiffany Bourassa, Ryan Bourassa; eight great grandchildren; sister-in-law Veronica Leiphon and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John on January 4, 1976; sons-in-law Leo Bourassa and Robert Fawcett; brothers Paul, Joe, John and Nick Leiphon; sisters Eva Leiphon and Regina Frelich; sisters-in-law Lena, Rose and Theresa Leiphon; brother-in-law Joe Frelich.
