Lynette T. BigTrack, 45 of Fort Totten, ND passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks with family at her side.
The Wake for Lynette will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at St. Michael’s Recreation Center, St. Michael, ND beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service and Time of Remembrance at 8:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael will leave on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. from the former Wal-Mart.
Funeral Services for Lynette will be held at St. Michael’s Recreation Center on Friday, August 22nd at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Charles Leute OP officiating. Lynette will be laid to rest in St. Jerome’s Cemetery at Crow Hill, rural Fort Totten, ND.
Honorary Pallbearers for Lynette will be the members of the “Class of 1986” and Mikayla Grewater, Jessica Hale, Roberta Ramsey, Vance Thompson Sr., Cora Iceman, Janet Tomahawk, Sharon Feather, Bonnie BirdsBill, Patty Jackson, Marcella Green, Bernadine Littlewind, Shirlene and Mike Feather, Arliss Krulish, Arlene Krulish and Cathy TwoHearts.

Lynette Tane BigTrack was born October 9, 1968 in Devils Lake, the loving daughter of Bernice M. (BigTrack) KillsPlenty and Gerald P. Longie Sr. She lived on the Spirit Lake Nation most of her life.
As a young lady she went to a Beauty Pageant and later on she started to dance fancy shawl with the Lambert girls. She graduated from Four Winds High School with the class of 1986. She continued her education at Bismarck studying for her Nurse Training Certificate. She also received her Certification as a secretary at a school in Boxelder, South Dakota. She later began working at Dakota Tribal Industries and with additional training she worked at the Fort Totten Recreational Center and in the Tribal Finance Office. Her most recent employment was at the Spirit Lake Casino.
She was at one time married to Samuel High Elk of South Dakota. She met William J. Goodshot and they were the proud parents of the oldest child, Willanette Goodshot. Later two beautiful boys joined the family Akiro and Irvin Tomahawk and their parents were Lynette and William Tomahawk. On Christmas Eve, December 24, 2012, Lynette found her soul mate and true love Delmer Iceman who she spent these last years with and they had such an enjoyable life together.
There were many fun times and stuff that Lynette liked to do and that included playing BINGO, slot machines (KENO) and visiting with family and friends. She loved to spend time with her kids, Willy, Irv, Sunni and most of all her honey, Delmer.
Lynette is survived by her step-father Irvin KillsPlentySr.; daughter Willanette Goodshot; sons Akiro and Irvin Tomahawk; special friend Delmer Iceman; sisters Lea (Fred) KillPlenty, Lisa Peoples, Ervinetta (Kevin) KillsPlenty and Rani Howard; brothers Irvin KillsPlenty Jr., Keith Longie, Wesley BigTrack, Calvin Thompson, Cameron Howard and Faron Howard; brother-in-law Melvin Peoples Jr.; godchild Anthony “Puckie” Littlewind; adopted sisters Zeda McKay, Tammy Greywater, Anita Thompson, Vangie Conklin and Amy Charboneau; godmother Lavern Sullivan; adopted mom Florestine Peltier; aunts Corrine Brown, Donna WhiteBuffalo, Patty Christianson and Jeannie (Louie) Chaske; uncles Emerson BigTrack and Robert BigTrack; special nieces Diane Peoples and Scarlet Howard; special nephews Jalen Peoples, Phillip KillsPlenty, Silas Longie, Juneau KillsPlenty, Nathan Howard, Braedon Howard and Latstat Howard and grandma Margie (Little) Davis.
Lynette was preceded in death by her parents Bernice and Gerald; grandparents Phillip and Mary Jane (Little) BigTrack, Phillip Longie and Florence Jackson; uncles Corbett, Luke, Donald, Allen, Frederick, Rudy and Herbert BigTrack; aunts Annie, Barbara and Yvonne BigTrack; several nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend Carmelle Lambert.
