MaryTess was united in marriage to William A. “Bill” Haman on February 4, 1956 at Sacred Heart Church in Crary. They established their home on the farm, east of Crary. Here they would live, farm side by side and raise their family through the years.

She also decided she should learn to sew, and what a talent she had; sewing clothing for the kids, alterations, curtains, cheerleading uniforms… But first and foremost was her faith and being very active in Sacred Heart Church and Christian Mothers and then St. Joseph Church and St. Catherine’s Circle and teaching her children to know and love God. She also taught children’s Catechism Classes for 17 years while her children were in school.
In 1995, MaryTess and Bill moved to Devils Lake and have made it home. They wintered in Florida, Texas and most recently Arizona.
