CHRISTOPHER JOSEPH ANDERSON

Christopher Joseph Anderson, “Chris J”, “Big Chris”, 58, St. Michael, ND journeyed to the Spirit World on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Altru Hospital after battling several illnesses. Christopher Joseph was born on October 12, 1956 to John and Delores (Hedine) Anderson at Devils Lake, ND. Chris attended the Little Flower School in St. Michael. He was later educated and earned his GED in Bismarck, ND. Chris worked for various construction companies throughout ND, at Sioux Manufacturing and Spirit Lake Casino and Resort. In his younger years, Chris enjoyed bronc riding and bull riding. Chris was also very talented and enjoyed beading. He loved going to the casino to visit with friends and gamble. Chris was a true Viking’s fan and attended games as often as he could. He was a very gentle, humble man, very kind, caring and respectful of his family. He loved his family very much and they loved him. His heart was also big enough to love animals, especially puppies and dogs. Chris met the love of his life, Carol Littleghost in November of 1986. Not only was she the love of his life, she was also his best friend. Other loving family include his brother Blaine Anderson; sisters Patricia Anderson, Debra (Billy) Cavanaugh, Melody Christianson, Rena (Bob) Skaro, Loreen “Wiggs” Anderson and Lila Anderson; adopted sister Betty Lou “Doll” Smith; special adopted son and daughter; Tim Trottier and Nakia Trottier; adopted mother Pauline Greywater; aunt Ida Hedine; special uncles Eugene Hedine and Verol Greywater; too many nieces, nephews and cousins to name.
