Shane Dogskin entered this world on February 7, 1986 in Devils Lake, ND. He entered the Spirit World on December 24, 2014.
Shane was born to Volante Littlewind and Albert Dogskin Sr. Shane attended grade school in Devils Lake, ND and he attended high school at Four Winds in Fort Totten and also at Flandreau, South Dakota.
Shane worked at the Spirit Lake Casino and Resort in the food and beverage department. He also worked in Standing Rock, ND in construction. He moved back home and he was working at McDonalds.
Shane loved his family and loved spending time with his children most of all. He liked music, drawing, playing video games and spending time with his many friends. Shane will be missed by all that knew him.
Shane is survived by his mother Volante Littlewind and his father Albert Dogskin Sr.; his sons Dominic, Nicolai, Jeremiah and Asher Dogskin and his only daughter Keyosha Dogskin; his brothers Shawn Dogskin, Shanon Dogskin, Sha Dogskin, Sheldon Dogskin, Albert Dogskin Jr., Roger IronHawk Jr. and Travis Blackbird; his sisters Tannis Dogskin and Vivianna Blackbird.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Anastacia and Benedict Dogskin, Irene and John Littlewind Sr.; uncles John Littlewind Jr., Freeland Dogskin Sr. and Nathan Dogskin; aunties Sandra Littlewind, Maureen Littlewind, Bernice Dogskin, Betty Dogskin, Stella Dogskin and Francine Dogskin; nephew Mason Dogskin and niece Debra Kay Dogskin.
Pallbearers for Shane will be Richard Littlewind Jr., Damian Blackbird, Travis Blackbird, Shawn Dogskin, Chico Flute Player, Maza Old Rock and Sheldon Dogskin. Honorary Pallbearers are Jerrod Meade, Jordan Azure, Mitch Azure, Bridgette Littlewind, John Tollefson, Giles, Hepi, Theresa, Rose, Grace, Gabrielle, Howard Flute Player, Dusty Joshua, Clarence Brown, Roger Ironhawk Jr., Bryan Littlewind and Sherlyn Littlewind, all of his family and friends. I am sorry if we forgot anyone, it wasn’t intentional.
A Rosary Service will be held on Wednesday, (today) at 8:00 p.m. at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Fort Totten, ND and Mass of the Resurrection will be held on New Years Day, Thursday, January 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. also at Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Shane will be laid to rest in St. Jerome’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Fort Totten in the spring of 2015.
