AUTUMN G. EISENZIMMER

Autumn Eisenzimmer, 82 of Devils Lake, ND formerly of Clyde, ND passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Autumn Gail, daughter of Guy and Melva (Thom) Hammond was born on September 9, 19932 at Grand Forks, ND. The Hammond family made their home in the Clyde area and Autumn graduated from Clyde High School with the class of 1950. She continued her education, attending Aakers Business College in Grand Forks. Autumn married Floyd Eisenzimmer in 1952 at the Clyde Methodist Church where Autumn was a baptized and confirmed member. They established their home in Devils Lake and lived, worked and raised their two sons here. As a mother of two, Autumn worked hard to help provide for the family needs. She worked at Rands Department Store, Lake Region Livestock, at the Elks Lodge, Artclair Motel, Southam Bar and ACI Telecommunications. She was at one time co-owner and operator of Northland Homes. She also sold AVON for many years. Autumn was a people person and being active in the work force and the community kept her spirit alive. Autumn loved to cook and many of her jobs gave her the opportunity to share her delicious creations and also to teach others many of her secrets to good cooking. It brought her great joy to see her children and grandchildren’s enthusiasm to learn good cooking skills from her. Autumn was always very active in the community and served on several local boards and as a volunteer for many events and projects of the Lake Region. She was the greatest supporter and biggest fan of her sons and grandchildren as she watched them participate in sports and other school activities. She was an avid reader and in later years enjoyed books on tape. Autumn is survived by her sons Greg Eisenzimmer and his wife Sharon and Todd Eisenzimmer all of Munich; grandchildren Seth Eisenzimmer, Grand Forks, Nichol (Brian) Bennes, Walcott, ND, Ryan (Maria) Eisenzimmer, Langdon and Trisha Eisenzimmer, Starkweather; great grandchildren Tanner, Madison, Elli, Gabi and Brayden. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services for Autumn will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, ND with Reverend Lori Broschat, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, Devils Lake officiating. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Serving as Casket Bearers for Autumn will be Ryan, Madison, Seth and Trisha Eisenzimmer and Nichol Bennes and Tanner Nicholls. Honorary Bearers will be Elli, Gabi and Brayden.
