PHILLIP THOMAS KRULISH

Phillip T. Krulish, “Standing Lightning Thunder”22 of Fort Totten, ND was found on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Fort Totten. A Wake for Phillip will be held at the Cankdeska Cikana Community College, Fort Totten on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary, Prayer Service and Time of Remembrance at 8:00 p.m. The procession to Fort Totten will leave at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday from the former Wal-Mart. Funeral Services will also be held at Cankdeska Cikana Community College on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Paul Schuster officiating. Phillip will be laid to rest in St. Jerome’s Cemetery, rural Fort Totten. Phillip Thomas, son of Andrea Peltier and Delmer Iceman was born on March 17, 1992 at Devils Lake, ND. He grew up in Fort Totten and attended Head Start and Kindergarten in Fort Totten and graduated from Four Winds High School with the class of 2010. He worked at Hardee’s, Mr. and Mrs. J’s and for a construction company for a time. At the time of his death, Phillip was working for HVAC. Phillip had continued his education at Cankdeska Cikana Community College and was presently a student there. In 2012, as part of a college program, Phillip worked as a carpenter building houses in South Dakota. Phillip was always eager to take part in sweats, pow-wows, singing and ceremonies. He enjoyed fishing and just hanging with his many dear friends. He visited with family and friends often and had a visiting route that took him from house to house and you always looked forward to his visits. Our hearts ache with such sadness as we lay to peaceful rest our precious son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He is gone, but never forgotten. Phillip is survived by his loving family. His parents Andrea and Delmer; brothers and sisters Anton Krulish, Marcus Peltier, Carolyn Vaughn, Mariah SwiftBird, Lisa Lohnes, Arlete Lohnes, Aiden Riggle and Anna, Karen and Samantha of Minneapolis, MN; special little sweetheart Savannah Ducheneaux; grandma Cora Iceman and Sylvia Brownshield and grandpa Donald Iceman; godmother Catherine Howard; adopted brothers Kris White, Rafael Barragan and Sean Lawrence; adopted sisters Michelle Hale and Faith Tomahawk and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. Phillip was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anton Krulish, John and Gladys Peltier; god father Stanley Howard and many other dear family members.
