Vicki Jo, daughter of Harley and Janice (Boschee) Anderson was born on February 21, 1974 at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake. She made Devils Lake her home where she was reared and educated, attending Prairieview Elementary School and graduated from Central High School with the class of 1992. While still in school, she was a carrier for the Devils Lake Journal and also later worked in the Dietary Department at the Heartland Care Center. She continued employment at Heartland Care Center for over 12 years until increasing health problems forced her to retire. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Nothing was going to keep Vicki from living life to the fullest. She loved bowling and was a member of a bowling league, starting in high school. Fishing was a passion and she participated in “Fishing With No Boundaries” several times. Other pastimes included playing Nintendo, card games and BINGO. Vicki had favorite TV programs and movies which included “Little House on the Prairie”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “Dirty Dancing” and wrestling. But nothing was more important to Vicki than her family, her beloved nieces and nephews and her dear friends.
Muscular Dystrophy may have caused physical limitations, but nothing could limit her loving and caring heart, her gentle and kind spirit, her generosity and willingness to always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. That was our Vicki, our precious daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.
Vicki is survived by her loving family. Her mother Janice Anderson, Devils Lake; brother Scott and Danielle Anderson, Littleton, CO; sister Heidi and James Kraft Jr., Lakota; nieces and nephews Ashley and Austin Anderson, Samantha, Stephanie and Brady Bartlett and Phillip Kraft; aunts and uncles Jeanne and Larry Walth, Wishek, ND, Joyce and Alan Talle, West Fargo, Lawrence Boschee, Lake Park, MN and Julie and Mike Markey, Fargo and many cousins.
