Joseph Michael Bachmeier of Seminole FL passed away peacefully at Suncoast Hospice in Pinellas Park, FL with his wife and daughter by his side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake. Fr. C.F. Wilhelm will celebrate the Mass and burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
A Rosary and Scripture Service will be held on Thursday, March 19th at 5:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake.
Visitation on Friday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass.
Joe was born on December 17, 1956 in Great Falls MT to Michael and Doris (Krogfoss) Bachmeier. He was raised in Devils Lake and attended St. Joseph's Elementary School. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1975 and from Lake Region College in 1978.
At one time Joe was married to Rebecca (Bergley) Thomas. They are the proud parents of daughter Tara Rogness.
On October 5th 1984, Joe was united in marriage to Susan Jean Amb. Soon after, they moved to the Clearwater, Florida area where they made their home for over 30 years. Joe was the President of Noland Company Clearwater, an air conditioning and plumbing distributor.
Joe, Sue and their wonder dog Sierra, a Golden Retriever, loved the water. They spent many hours boating and fishing with many friends that they considered to be their second family. Joe also enjoyed SCUBA diving and watching NASCAR.

Brothers - Rodney Bachmeier of Omaha,NE; Jack Bachmeier of Devils Lake, ND.Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceded in death by his sister Michele (Shelly) Bachmeier, grandparents Milton and Anne Bachmeier and Charles and Thelma Krogfoss.
