DELORES L. RADER

Delores L. Rader, a life-long resident of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Monday morning, March 23, 2015 at Heartland Care Center at the age of 80 years. Funeral Services for Delores will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with Chaplain Rachel Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Delores Louise, daughter of Henry and Martha (Madison) Bartholme was born on December 23, 1934. Delores attended Devils Lake Schools and made Devils Lake her home her entire life. Delores worked in housekeeping at the City Center Hotel then for 22 years she worked at the Trails West Motel. Before retiring, she worked for 8 years at the Comfort Inn. Delores walked everywhere she went mo matter what the weather. As health problems progressed, Delores lived for 8 years at the Odd Fellows Home and was a resident of Heartland Care Center at the time of her death. Delores was at one time married to Leland Rader and they were the proud parents of their daughter Shirley. In younger years, you would see Delores on the dance floor as often as she could. She loved to sing and always joined in any sing-a-longs at the Odd Fellows and Heartland Care. Delores always enjoyed her outings with her sister, Phyllis; out to tea, supper at Old Main and just going to visit family and friends. She loved spending time with family and her grandchildren and any little ones that came around brought her joy. A visit with Delores meant some teasing and joking back and forth to bring a smile to your face. Delores is survived by her loving family. Her daughter Shirley Rader, Devils Lake; grandchildren Laura Ewert, Allison Ewert, Kyle Gratton and Katie Rader; brother Henry Bartholme, Jr.; sisters Phyllis Heilman and Vivian (Wes) Asleson all of Devils Lake; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Harvey and sister Marie Bartholme. Casket Bearers for Delores will be her nephews Mike Heilman, Steve Heilman, Donny Heilman, Greg Heilman, Todd Heilman, Wes Asleson and Scott Asleson.
