DWIGHT J. LEMIEUX

Dwight Lemieux left us for a better place on April 13, 2015 after a battle with cancer. He passed away at his brother's home in Minot under the care of Hospice. He was 54 years old. Dwight Joseph Lemieux was born April 4, 1961 in Rolette, ND, the son of Howard and Lavina (Armstrong) Lemieux. He attended and graduated from Rolette High School. After high school, Dwight began farming and also did commercial trucking. For many years, he hauled grain with his brother, Robert. Dwight enjoyed working on the farm, with cattle being his favorite project. Dwight took great pride in his cooking and baking abilities. He enjoyed countless hours of visiting neighbors, friends and family. Many games of cards were played with the neighbors - Ruth Lund, Margaret Griffin and Marjorie LaFrance. Dwight's faith is a lesson to us. He was not scared by this journey of cancer. When diagnosed in July 2013, he told The Lord, "I am giving this sickness to you and now show me what to do". Dwight's never give up attitude was evident to the end. Dwight is survived by his parents, Howard and Lavina of Rolette; brothers and sisters - Pat (Andy) Beaver, Doug (Kimberly), Vicky (Kevin) Noyes all of Rolette; Carolyn (Terry) Meester of West Fargo; and, Robert (Connie) of Minot. Nieces and nephews: Heather (Ty) Smith, Jennifer (Matt) Goettle; Joan (Brian) McIntyre, Keith (Jess) Sebelius, Paula Sebelius, Jarrett Meester; Pierre, Mario (Nicole), Kaydee and Adrian Lemieux; Jacob and Adam Lemieux; and, Emma Landrus.
