Doralee Halverson Dale of Cando, ND passed away on April 29th at her home in Cando.
Doralee was born in Bisbee, ND to Bernard and Mary Halverson on April 2, 1926. She was married on April 12, 1946 in Crookston, MN. to Casper Jordan Dale. She attended high school at Cando and was known for her dancing with Babe Bergdahl. Later, during her time in the Seattle area, she worked for the State of Washington Home for delinquent boys and later as a housewife, a loving mother and grandmother.
Doralee is survived by a son, Jayson (Linda) Dale of Snohomish, WA, daughter Marilynn (Thomas) Wade of Melbourne, FL and daughter Donna Dale of Cando, ND daughter-in-law, Peggy Dale of Federal Way, WA.; grandchildren Justin Dale, Julie (Anthony) Favro, Tara (Ryan) Schultz, Shannon Dale, Robin Dale, Jennifer Shaner, Angelica (Andrew) Dobies, Darin Wade and Kaylin Wade, great-grandchildren Jordan, Jameson, Brody, Zachary, Liam, Tyler, Brooklyn, and Kennedy Rose, cousin Wayne Newman, special nephew Ralph Mathews, sister-in-laws Norma Halverson and Lois Dale Wildeman.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jordan Dale, sons, Roger and Rodney Dale, daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Dr. Douglas Johnston, sister, Evelyn Halverson Hinegardner and brothers Lloyd, Calmer and Glenn Halverson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cando Fire Department or Altru Hospice. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Claudette Hogenson, Dr. Jackie Downs, Altru Hospice of Devils Lake, and Mary Bartram.
Burial will be at a future date in Redmond, WA.
