Dorothy Pearl (Reslock) Leet, 85, formerly of Starkweather, ND died early Monday morning May 18, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society in Lakota, ND. Dorothy was born on February 22, 1930 in Devils Lake, ND the daughter of Paul and Gita Reslock, youngest of eight children. She was raised and educated in Devils Lake and graduated from Devils Lake High School in 1948. She continued her education at the Devils Lake Business College and received Secretarial credentials. She moved to Detroit, Michigan and was employed as a secretary. She later returned to Devils Lake to care for her ailing mother. Dorothy married Richard Leet on November 14, 1954 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Devils Lake. They established their home on a farm in rural Starkweather where they lived there until 2000. Dick and Dorothy moved to Devils Lake and resided there until January 2015. Illness for both necessitated they move to the Good Samaritan Center in Lakota, where Richard continues to reside. Dorothy was artistically creative. She enjoyed many and varied art forms and was involved in beautifying her surroundings. Some of those include; ceramics, woodworking, acrylics and oils, watercolor, pencil drawing, interior decorating, flowers, restoring antiques and useful furniture, upholstery, handiwork, knitting, crocheting, sewing…….…to name a few. She loved her family. This was obvious in all she did. We will dearly miss our beautiful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and dear friend as she has gone home to her Lord and Savior. We miss you with all our heart. Dorothy is survived by her loving family. Her husband Richard, daughter Sally and husband Doug Johnson of Pickstown, SD; son Larry Leet and wife Cindy of Yankton, SD; daughter Judy Leet of Webster; grandchildren; Kari (Ben Nabinger), Richard Johnson, Rachael (Bradon Wiens), Emily (Tim Lange), Jason Leet (Rachel), Mikael Leet (Tracey), Matthew Leet, Amber (Timber Schwab) and Samuel Erickstad. She is preceded in death by her parents, best friend and sister Sophie Leet; brothers, Arnie, Roy, Harold, Phil, Paul and Donald. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 22, 2015 at Trinity Bergen Lutheran Church in Starkweather, with Pastor Rob Buechler officiating. Burial will be in the Devils Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Gilbertson Funeral Home on Thursday May 21st from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 6:00 pm. Serving as Pallbearers for Dorothy will be Jason Leet, Samuel Erickstad, Don Leet, Timber Schwab and Brian Reslock and honorary pallbearers will be Richard Johnson, Matthew Leet, Kari Nabinger, Amber Schwab and Emily Lange.
