JASMINE DAWN MCCANNA

Jasmine Dawn McCanna, 37 of Devils Lake, ND passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Funeral Services for Jasmine will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Jasmine Dawn, daughter of Michael and Maria (Solga) McCanna was born on June 22, 1977 at Devils Lake, ND. She would make Devils Lake her home for her short lifetime. Jasmine attended Minnie H Elementary School, and graduated from Devils Lake High School with the class of 1995. While in school she played the violin with the orchestra. Jasmine started working at a very young age, working for her grandmother at Del’s Drive In. She later worked as a bartender at the Bottle Shop and Thirsty’s. She courageously fought several health problems and tried to live life to the fullest. Jasmine was a number one, super, huge fan of Fighting Sioux Hockey and she loved sharing that pastime with her dear family and friends. Our precious Jasmine is gone, but will never be forgotten. Jasmine is survived by her Dad, Micky McCanna; brother Jay McCanna; niece Reygan McCanna; grandmother Mildred Solga all of Devils Lake and several aunts, uncles and cousins and her loyal animal companions Chloe, Nibs and Dumbo. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria; grandparents Jay and Del McCanna and Vincent Solga.
