TASHA N. RODLIN

Tasha N. Rodlin, 32, of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 at her home, Devils Lake, ND. Tasha Nicole, daughter of Shirley Herman and Gary Rodlin was born on January 7, 1983 at Devils Lake, ND. She was raised in Devils Lake, attending Minnie H Elementary School and Devils Lake High School. She was a skilled violinist, performing in the Devils Lake High School Orchestra as a first chair violinist. Through hard work and determination, Tasha received her GED and continued her education at Lake Region State College and was a certified nurse assistant (CNA). Tasha worked and lovingly cared for the residents at Heartland Care Center for a time. Tasha’s life began and ended centered around love of family. She never hesitated to admit she was a “Mommy and Daddy’s Girl”. She had an unbreakable bond with her sister, her “Soul Sister”, Sarah and her pride, her joy, her love forever was her son, Ashton Lee. Tasha never met a stranger, they would be new friends. She cared about everyone, making sure they were taken care of, knew they were loved, that she was there for them always. She had that same caring and compassionate heart for animals, compassion for all life. Her son was her life and they enjoyed fishing, playing sports together, outings with family and friends and those precious quiet talks and times together teaching him about love, compassion and always to have a sense of humor. As a loving, caring and precious Mother, daughter, sister, niece and friend, she loved her boyfriend’s daughter, Azja as her own. Life for Tasha had its share of challenges, but her loving heart gave without ceasing, her smile a precious gift and her memory will remain in our hearts forever. Tasha’s beloved family include her son Ashton Lee Rodlin; mother Shirley “Chicken” Herman; father Gary Lee Rodlin all of Devils Lake; sister Sarah Jean Rodlin, Phoenix, AZ; grandmother Eldoris (Edward) Dosch also of Devils Lake; love of her life Jonathan Fortney, New Rockford, ND and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Leland Rodlin, Beulah and Ernest Herman and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake with burial in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Friday, July 17th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Scripture Service at 5:00 p.m. Visitation on Saturday will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral Mass. Casket Bearers for Tasha will be Dan Tollefson, JR Shipley, Levi Shipley, Seth Shipley, Todd Dauphinais, Kelvin Carlson, Mark Vigil and Jonathan Fortney. Honorary Bearers are Tasha’s forever friends “The Girls” and her beloved family. Music will be provided by Patty Cote, reading the Scriptures will be Sarah Rodlin and Danielle Dockter and Gift Bearers will be Michael, Sharon and Kyle Tester and Ashton Lee Rodlin. Wish upon a shooting star and we love you to the moon!!!!!
