Our beautiful Dancia Dawn Jackson, Good Hearted Woman “Cante’ Waste Yapi Winyan”, 23 of St. Michael, ND began her journey on earth, September 17, 1991, 4:48 pm at the dusk of sunset in Devils Lake ND. She began her journey to the Spirit World on August 19, 2015 at home, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial for Dancia will be on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND. Fr. Paul Schuster will celebrate the Mass with interment at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.
An all night wake will be held at the St .Michael Wellness Center on Monday beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 8:00 p.m. The procession to the Wellness Center will leave at 4:00 p.m. from Gilbertson Funeral Home. All drum groups are welcome to come and share their music.

Dancia Dawn was welcomed by her loving parents, Darcie & Cory Delorme and Frank Jason Greene to love, nurture and cherish. As a little girl into adulthood Dancia was beautiful, spirited, and full of life, she always made her presence known. Her favorite color was lime green and she loved to dance as her name entails.
Dancia spent her younger years in Dunseith ND, attending Dunseith Headstart and eventually beginning her elementary years at Warwick Public School where she would graduate as “Salutatorian” from Warwick Public School’s class of 2010. Dancia attended United Tribes Technicial College in Bismarck ND, she returned home attending Cankdeska Cikana Community College, Ft. Totten ND. Dancia was once employed at “The View”, Spirit Lake Casino & Resort, a job she enjoyed and took pride in. Most recently Dancia was employed at Cankdeska Cikana Community College. During these brief and memorable years Dancia made many many friends and left them with unforgettable memories.
On December 17th, 2012, Dancia along with her Companion, Mitchell Owlboy welcomed a beautiful baby girl they named Kori Jean. Kori Jean loved her mommy as their favorite saying to each other was “you’re my favorite person in the whole wide world”, and took great joy in letting you know Dancia was her mommy.
