Timothy “Tim” A. Mahany, 70 of Fairview, Montana formerly of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 at his home. Funeral Services for Tim will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with burial in the Devils Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Timothy Allen, son of Orville “Toby” and Helen (Michels) Mahany was born on September 27, 1944 in Ramsey County, North Dakota. He was reared and educated in the Devils Lake area, graduating from Central High School. He had a brilliant mind and was always happy to help his nieces and nephews with their homework. Tim was a hard-working, dedicated employee with Glicksons Men’s Store for many years. For over 30 years, Tim has made Montana his home working at a variety of jobs. Tim had an adventurous spirit and caring heart. He had many trials in his life and was the only child left of Toby and Helen’s. He loved his family and had several very dear friends who meant the world to him. He was a tiny man with a big heart. Tim is survived by many family members which include sister-in-law Mary Mahany;local aunts Grace Ball and Beverly Michals, several nieces and nephews including Scott Elstad, Carla Scott, Toby Mahany and Laura Gonzalez; cousins and several dear friends including Chuck and Helen Nelson, Vern Cashman and Louise Fletcher. Tim was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Leland “Lee”, Roger and Robert Mahany sisters Alice Faye in infancy and Joan Elstad. .
