Allen K. Lindseth, 65 of St. Joseph, MN formerly of the Munich, ND area passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015 at his home. Allen was born on June 24, 1950 to Knut and Phyllis (Burton) Lindseth. He lived most of his life in the Munich/Alsen area on the family farm. He graduated from Munich High School with the class of 1968. Al continued his education at North Dakota State University in Fargo and graduated with a degree in Agricultural Economics in 1973. Allen was united in marriage to Vicki Boucher on June 30, 1973. They lived in Indianapolis, Indiana for 2 years and then at San Diego, California for one year. They returned to North Dakota to farm Allen’s parents’ farm in 1977 and to raise their family. Allen’s passion was farming and it was a part of his entire life. In 2001, his sons took over most of the farming duties. Along with farming, Allen had worked for Rain and Hail Insurance Agency as a crop adjuster since 1985. He later began working for AgStar Financial Services as a Senior Insurance Sales Specialist so this led to a move in May of 2004 to St. Joseph, Minnesota where he was living and working at the time of his death. When Al wasn’t working he was found cheering on his alma mater, the NDSU Bison. He was a loyal Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan as hard as that was through the years. He enjoyed fishing, time with family and friends and being “Grandpa”. Al was great at “starting many projects”, tinkering, carpentry and eventually completing a job that was always a job well done. Any friend of Al’s was a friend for life, and he shared many good times of laughter and fun with them. He loved his children and grandchildren and they were his pride and joy. Al is survived by his children Kristian A. (Danielle) Lindseth, Philip J. Lindseth, Brianne L. (Matt) Mitzel and Matthew R. Lindseth all of Munich; mother of his children Vicki Lindseth, Rolla, ND; grandchildren Isabel Beaver and Abigail Lindseth, Colton and Asher Mitzel, Braxton and Ramsay Lindseth; sisters Louise (Merril) Klein, Tolna, ND, JoEllen (Robert) Hall and Rita (Bruce) Wirth all of Munich; aunts, nieces and nephews also survive. Al was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents and in-laws Alfred and Doris Boucher. Serving as Casket Bearers will be Merril Klein, Robert Hall, Bruce Wirth, Shannon Hall, Brandon Hall, Ben Wirth, Mike Anderson and Ken Fredrickson. Special Tribute to Allen by Ted Lindseth.
