When he was a young man, he would ride the horses, calves, and other animals on the farm. He liked to reminisce about his childhood years and farm life. When he would call his sister he always liked to talk to his brother-in-law and tease around with him and tell him jokes. After losing his older brother, Stanley, he decided to move away from here and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to find work there and live with his mother. He became part of his mother’s family with his sisters and step-father. Richard always had something good to say about his sisters in Milwaukee and liked living in the big city. While living in Milwaukee he joined the Marine’s. After his discharge he left Wisconsin and began to move around doing odd and end jobs. Richard never married or had any children. He said he liked being a free spirit.
