Glynnis Sara Jackson was born to Debra Herald and Ignatius Jackson Jr. on May 15, 1980 at Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake, ND and sadly she passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015.
Glynnis was raised in Devils Lake and on the Spirit Lake Reservation and in Dennison, Texas. She was educated at Four Winds High School, Dennison High and completed her CAN Training at the Quentin Burdick Job Corp in Minot, ND.
Glynnis was employed at Heartland Care Center and the Spirit Lake Casino.
Glynnis was a very caring and loving person who loved her children and made them the center of her world. She had a gentle spirit and always had time for her friends and family. She loved to laugh and made others smile with her wonderful sense of humor. Her favorite pastime was listening, facebooking friends and spending time with her children.
Glynnis’ loving family includes her mother, Debra Herald; her children Hunter Eback, Deborah (Doozer) Jackson, Precious Jackson and Alexis Blackbird; sisters Clarissa Jackson, Amanda Jackson-White, Colette Jackson, Carrie Ann Smith, Megan Jackson and Alyssa Jackson; brothers Dolan Herald, Adrian Jackson and Jarvis Redfox; aunts Miranda Kahnapace, Tina Kahnapace, Adeline Herald, Cynthia Mann, Rhonda McKay, Phyllis Jackson, Paula Goulet, Claudette Ross and Debbie Jackson; uncles Lionel Kahnapace, Eli Kahnapace, Kevin Kahnapace, Alex Kahnapace, Leroy Kahnapace, Milton Kahnapace, Errol Kahnapace and Burton Jackson; special nieces and nephews; Aiana Richotte, Rosela Brown, Elysia Brown, Kiara (Tiny) Brown, Danae St. Pierre, Tianna McKay, Nina McKay, Prairie McKay, Courtney McKay, Nia Jackson and Kylen White, Dylan Smith, Tristan Jackson, Taylor Jackson, Christian Greywater, Troy Lovejoy Jr., Grant (Handsome) McKay and her KoKum Louise Kahnapace; special cousins Phaedra Jackson, Ashley Ross and Philmore Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her father Ignatius Jackson Jr.; grandparents Ruby Herald, Harvey Kahnapace, Ignatius Jackson Sr. and Sadie Jackson; great grandparents Lillian Chase, Emile Herald and Sara Herald; aunt Glenda Lovejoy; uncles Harvey Herald, Adrian Jackson and Phillip Jackson; cousins Geoffrey Lambert, Dustin Jackson, Gabe Smith and Wade Ross; nephew Raymond Jackson-Richotte.

The Wake for Glynnis will be held at St. Michael’s Wellness Center on Thursday, December 11, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary and Time of Remembrance at 8:00 p.m. The procession to St. Michael will leave on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. from the former Wal-Mart.
Mass of the Resurrection will be at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10:00a.m with Father Paul Schuster celebrating the Mass. Glynnis will be laid to rest in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
